SONAL is a registered Indian patent agent with a Ph.D. in Chemistry. She has a cumulative experience of about 6 years in patent litigation and opposition. She joined Inttl in 2019 and is engaged in providing technical support to patent litigation matters and opposition team. Sonal's key responsibilities at Inttl includes analysing inventions and conducting product-to-patent-claim mapping for pre-litigation investigations, performing infringement, validity, and patentability analyses, and providing legal opinions, drafting and filing pre-grant and post-grant oppositions, responses, revocation petitions, appeals along with various suit proceedings before different courts in India. She also represents clients in patent opposition matters before Indian Patent Office. Sonal specializes in cases in the fields of Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, agriculture, mechanical and has a strong inter-disciplinary skill set.
