Yashwant represents both Indian and International clients across variety of industries such as FMCGs, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Liquor, apparel, Electronics etc. His practice focuses on advising on all aspects of trademarks, copyright and designs prosecution including clearance searches, application, strategic development and management of worldwide trademark, copyright and design portfolios. He currently heads the trademark, copyright and design prosecution team.

He has successfully argued numerous challenging matters before the Trade Marks Registry. In design matters, he often makes representations before the Design Office.

Yashwant also represents the Firm in several national and international conferences including the INTA Annual Meetings.

As a Member of INTA (International Trademark Association) Non-traditional marks committee (2020-2021), he was actively involved in discussions on policy and practice issues and made submissions to the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks. Currently as a member of INTA Design Committee (2022-2023), he has been actively involved in discussions on policy and practice relating to Industrial Designs.

He received his law degree from Amity Law School, Noida. Thereafter, he graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York where he pursued Masters in Law (LLM) with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law. During his masters, Yashwant held a position of Vice President of Graduate Law Society and was also a member of the New York City Bar Association and South Asian Bar Association of New York. Having interned in prestigious companies such as PepsiCo, Airtel and Genpact along with working in both Indian and International law firms, Yashwant brings on the table a unique combination of skill sets to his legal expertise along with a client friendly approach.
