Debasmita is a graduate of the B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) Programme of Department of Law, University of Calcutta (2010-2015). She also has an LL.M. focused in Intellectual Property Law from Department of Law, University of the Calcutta for the period 2015-2017.

She has joined Inttl Advocare in 2021 and is working as a part of the Trade Mark Opposition and litigation team.
